Boiling Springs went to Chester on Monday to compete in the 5A Upper State Championship and came with a third place team finish along with the individual Upper State champion.
The Bulldogs finished the day tying for third place with former region opponent Byrnes after shooting a team score of 336 and finishing only six shots behind second place Dorman. All three teams trailed the Upper State champions Blythwood. Boiling Springs was led by individual Upper State champion sophomore Madison Dixon who shot a tournament low score of 70 on Monday. She wasn’t the only Bulldog to have a good day on Monday as senior MK Talledo shot a score of 72 to tie her for fourth place in the tournament. The Bulldogs will return to action next Monday and Tuesday as they compete in the state championship tournament that will be held at the Lexington Country Club. Comments are closed.
