The Boiling Springs Bulldogs were unable to overcome some mistakes and a strong second quarter from the Dorman Cavaliers falling 38-0 to their region opponent on Friday night.
After being forced to punt on their first offensive drive the Bulldogs defense on the ensuing Cavaliers drive was able to hold a potent Dorman offense to settle for an Omar Khan twenty-one yard field goal giving the Cavaliers a 3-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff Dorman got the ball right back at the Boiling Springs seventeen yard line after the Bulldogs fumbled the kickoff return but the defense stood tall again on the following drive forcing a Dorman punt after penalties and some nice defensive plays put the Cavaliers at their own thirty-nine yard line. The Boiling Springs defense was able to hold Dorman to seventy-six total yards of offense in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Cavaliers outscored the Bulldogs 21-0 as Dorman started their scoring in the second quarter when Chance Black ran the ball seven yards over the left side to give the Cavaliers a 10-0 lead just over a minute into the quarter. They extended that lead to 17-0 when quarterback Hayden Lee ran the ball up the middle for two yards and another Cavaliers touchdown. The Panthers would score one more time before the half to grab a 34-0 halftime lead. Smith would add another score for the Panthers in the third quarter from sixty-one yards out giving Chapman a 41-0 lead. As for the Bulldogs they struggled to get much going offensively on Friday night as they were only able to get eighty-six yards of offense and were unable to slow down a highly potent Chapman offense that ran for over four hundred yards of offense.
