SENECA, SC - The Boiling Springs girls golf team went to Seneca on Thursday to compete in The Jack Invitational tournament at Cross Creek Plantation where senior golfer Madison Dixon won the individual tournament.
Dixon fired a tournament low score of 74 at the course that was two shots better than the second-place golfers Ella Kate Barrett of Aynor, Natalie Turner of Pickens, and Ansley Bryson from Seneca. She was joined on the All-Tournament team by the three previous golfers, who all tied for second place, along with Olivia Roberts from Chesnee who tied for fifth place with Dorman's Abby Franks after both shot a score of 78 on Tuesday. As a team Boiling Springs the Bulldogs finished in fifth place with a score of 390 just behind fellow district school Chesnee who finished in fourth place with a score of 357. Dorman won the team side of the tournament with a score of 323 followed by Pickens (330) and Seneca (336). The Boiling Springs girls' team will be back in action on Thursday when they play Spartanburg in match play at the Country Club of Spartanburg. Dixon will also be competing in a two-day tournament this weekend at the High School Invitational at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence, SC. Comments are closed.
