With the holiday season quickly approaching the Boiling Springs wrestling team had a busy week of matches to wrap up before taking a break for the holidays.
Last Friday the Bulldogs started competition at the two-day Timberwolves duals where they competed at White Knoll High school where they brought home the third place trophy against a very competitive field. On their way to the third place finish the Bulldogs defeated Gilbert High School who was last year's 3A state champions. Bulldogs freshman wrestler, who wrestles at 106, was named to the All-Tournament team. On Wednesday night the Bulldogs returned home where they defeated both Newberry and fellow district team Chesnee in a tri-match. Along with the high school matches the Bulldogs also saw both their middle school teams, Boiling Springs Middle and Rainbow Lake Middle , compete as a part of the festivities. The wrestling team will be off during the holiday season before getting back to competition right after the new year when they travel to take place in the Bearcat Invitational at Rock Hill High School from January 3-4, 2020.
