BOILING SPRINGS, SC - Boiling Springs wrestling held a four-way match on Wednesday where the Bulldogs came away with a 62-18 victory over the number three ranked team in 3A, Powdersville.
The Bulldogs got out to a quick lead earning the forfeit victory to start the match with a 6-0 lead. Harrison Bradford won a major victory with a score of 14-0 to push the Bulldogs lead to 10-0 over the first two matches. Ethan Coppola got the first pin of the match for the Bulldogs to extend the Boiling Springs lead to 16-0 over Powdersville. Colby Smart grabbed the second pin of the match at 170 lbs. as Boiling Springs made their lead 22-6. Over the next three matches the Bulldogs picked up two forfeit victories while also losing by a pin to make their lead 34-12 but followed that up with another pin by the Bulldogs Jason Blackwell at heavyweight to make their lead 40-12 over the Patriots. Preston Joslin, Peyton Hornack, and Eddie Aleksik all picked up three straight non pin wins before Trent Coppola grabbed a pin to push their lead to 62-12 over the Patriots. Prior to the match against Powdersville the Bulldogs fell to Dorman 57-18 and to Lexington 48-30. Boiling Springs will next compete at the Kersey Duals at Indian Land on Saturday before returning home next Wednesday to host both Chesnee and Riverside. Comments are closed.
