After having their match rained out on Tuesday against Nation Ford the Boiling Springs girls tennis team returned to the court with an impressive performance as they defeated region foe Gaffney 6-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs had three different matches won without losing a set on Wednesday afternoon as Sydney Braswell won at number two singles (6-0, 6-0) and Victoria Leonard won at number five singles (6-0, 6-0) while Anna Lynn Faile and Kaiden Price won in number two doubles (6-0, 6-0). Madison Ball won in number one singles (6-0, 6-1) while Emma Kotzur won at number three singles (6-3, 6-3). The sweep of the match was finished off when Emily Krechko won at number four singles (6-0, 6-2) and gave the Bulldogs the 6-0 victory. The Bulldogs will return to the court on Tuesday to host Clover before returning to the court on Wednesday to host Fort Mill. Busy Week For Bulldogs GolfThe Boiling Springs and Chesnee girls golf teams had two home and home matches this week as they both get ready for tournament play this week and upcoming region tournaments.
While the Bulldogs fell overall in the two matches this week they did come away with medalist honors in both matches as Madison Dixon won medalist honors on Wednesday afternoon at Woodfin Ridge and MK Talledo tied for medalist honors on Monday at Meadowbrook. The Bulldogs and Eagles will return to action on Thursday as they both compete in the Lady Rebels Invitational at River Falls while Boiling Springs will then head to region play on Monday at the Chester Golf Club.
