On Wednesday afternoon the Boiling Springs girls golf team came away with a home match victory against region opponent Gaffney on the same night they honored their two senior golfers.
With the threat of the pandemic still on the front of people's minds, teams are moving many celebrations up to earlier in the season and that includes senior nights for many players. The Boiling Springs girls golf team honored seniors MK Talledo and Faith Nanna on Wednesday by giving them the gift of a 161-179 victory over Gaffney as Talledo fired a 36 and Nanna shot a 42 in front of the home crowd at Woodfin Ridge. The medalist of the match was sophomore Madison Dixon who shot a one under score of 35. Boiling Springs will return to action in the Lady Eagle Tournament at Links of Stoney Point in Greenwood on Monday before traveling to Clover on Tuesday and then finishing the week off in the Lady Rebel Invitational at River Falls on Thursday.
