After falling in their first match of the season to Byrnes on Monday afternoon, the Boiling Springs girls golf team didn't waste much more time dusting off the offseason rust as they finished their first week off with back to back wins on Tuesday and Wednesday over Gaffney and Dorman.
"We had a super busy first week with three matches in three days," said Bulldogs head coach Macy Tate. "The girls went 2-1 and I am extremely proud of them. I have seen definite improvement since our first practice and I'm excited to see what they can accomplish this season." Madison Dixon had a great three days for the Bulldogs as she was the medalist in all three matches. Dixon shot a 36 against Byrnes, a 37 against Gaffney, and a 35 on Wednesday afternoon against Dorman. With the win over Gaffney on Tuesday the Bulldogs also pick up their first region win of the 2020 season in their brand new region. "We are looking forward to playing in the Palmetto Preview tournament at Mid-Carolina on Tuesday," said Tate. The Bulldogs will be busy again next week as they start the week off on Tuesday at Mid-Carolina for the Palmetto Preview before hosting Gaffney on Wednesday and traveling to Chesnee on Thursday.
