Lady Bulldogs Win York TournamentThe Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs soccer team grabbed a 2-0 victory over Northwestern to become the champions of the 2019 York County High School Soccer Tournament. Chesnee Golf Finishes Top 10The Chesnee Eagles golf team shot a 322 on Saturday to claim tenth place at the two-day Georgia-South Carolina Cup tournament played at the Plantera Ridge Golf Course in Peachtree City, GA.
The Eagles finished the tournament as the fourth best team from South Carolina trailing Bishop England, Christ Church, and Mauldin. Chesnee got off to a pretty good start on Friday when they shot a 309 and was tied for eighth after day one but cold conditions on Saturday caused the Eagles some problems on Saturday. Chesnee head golf coach Andy Pitt was happy with his team’s overall performance though at the two day tournament. “It was a good finish but with our score we still have plenty of room to grow,” said Coach Pitt. “I like where we are heading as a team. It’s important we don’t peak too early.” Comments are closed.
