The Chesnee Eagles built a 47-19 lead at halftime against the Brashier Middle College Bengals and never looked back on their way to a 75-40 win. Coach Andy Pitt was pleased with the Eagles fast start "Our first quarter start was big for us, we got pressure on the ball and were able to force turnovers and get points in transition" The Eagles got a monster night from Nate Lamb who led all scorers with 30 points, with 20 of those points coming in the first half, and also grabbed 13 rebounds. Dez Tate continued his stellar play for the Eagles as he had 13 points while Dawson Williamson also had a solid night for the Eagles with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Lamar Turman had a solid night for the Bengals as he recorded 10 points in the loss. The Eagles are looking forward to the holiday break as their next game will come next week at the Lowe's Roundball Classic starting on Thursday at Chesnee High School. The Eagles will open the tournament against the Pickens Blue Flame, at 8:30 PM. Girl's Game The Chesnee Lady Eagles fell at home to the Brashier Middle College Lady Bengals 48-42. The Lady Bengals rallied from a 28-25 halftime deficit lead by Kelsey Brown, who scored 15 of her game 19 points in the second half.
The Lady Eagles got another solid performance from Sierra Bowen as she recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Eagles. Abbey Ray also recorded a double-double for the Lady Eagles with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Lady Eagles continue to get strong performances from their freshman as freshman Paige Scruggs had 9 points and 4 rebounds and freshman Shenan Bishop added 3 points for the Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles will also return to play after the holiday break as they will also participate in the Lowe's Roundball Classic at Chesnee High School on Thursday night.
