On Monday afternoon in a match at Meadowbrook Golf Course the Chesnee golf team had a good outing but fell short of the visiting Chapman team 163-180, as the Panthers improved to 2-0 on the season and the Eagles fell to 1-1.
"I was very pleased with the improvement we have shown since Thursday," said Chesnee head coach Andy Pitt. "We still have room for improvement. If we can clean a few things up with each guy and get those scores a little lower I really like the direction that we are heading." Chapman's Ethan Holcombe won medalist honors after shooting a score of 35 on Monday afternoon. Holcombe led a Panthers team that also included Mason Ritz shooting a score of 40 and Hudson Edmonds shooting a score of 41. The Eagles were led by Creighton Rentz who shot a team low score of 41 followed by Peyton Lawter with a 44 and Jackson Ramsey with a score of 47. Chesnee will next take to the course on Wednesday when they host St. Joseph's and Gaffney at Meadowbrook. Comments are closed.
