GREENVILLE, SC - Chesnee softball improved their record in region play to 3-0 after an impressive 18-0 road victory over St. Joseph's on Tuesday night.
Maddie Handy and Emily Pruett combined to pitch a no-hitter from the circle for the Eagles as they dominated the Knights hitters. Chesnee had several standout performers at the plate, as Handy and Pruitt were among that group as well. Handy went three of four with three RBIs while Pruett was two for two with a pair of walks. Jada Sellars and Harley Grady each had two hits apiece with Grady also coming away with a double. Emma Fogle had a triple and three RBIs for the Eagles while Katie Faith Watson also came away with a double of her own. The Eagles as a team had sixteen hits and were able to work six walks. The Eagles will be back in action when they host their rival Woodruff on Wednesday night at 6:00 PM in an out of region contest. Comments are closed.
