CHESNEE, SC - The Chesnee soccer program opened their 2022 season with an impressive 4-2 victory over the visiting Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday night at home.
The Eagles attack was led by Ian Harris, who had a stellar performance coming away with three goals for Chesnee while his teammate Adrian Mata-Rangel added the fourth goal for the Eagles. Chesnee’s victory also had more significant meaning as it wasn’t just their first win of the season but it was also the first victory at Chesnee for new head soccer coach Joel Barrington in his first game in front of the home crowd. The Eagles will look to keep the momentum going when they host their rival Woodruff on Friday night with a 6:00pm scheduled kickoff. Comments are closed.
