CHESNEE, SC - The Chesnee girls' golf team kept up their success this season as they continue to strive towards their third straight state championship as they made it two wins in a row winning The Jack golf tournament at Cross Creek Plantation in Seneca, SC on Tuesday.
The win is the second eighteen-hole tournament victory in a row for the Eagles as they also won the Lady Patriot at Smithfield Country Club in Easley on Monday. Chesnee won the event with a score of 326 which was two shots better than second place TL Hanna who shot a score of 328 and 23 shots ahead of third place Seneca (349). Olivia Roberts led the Eagles as she made the All-Tournament team after firing a score of 73. She finished two shots behind both Ansley Bryson from Seneca and Marissa Scaletta who both shot a score of 71 on Tuesday. Both Boiling Springs and Chapman competed in the event as well as the Panthers shot a score of 385 and the Bulldogs shot a score of 387. Ellie Taylor led the Bulldogs with a score of 85 while Adeline Todd led the Panthers with a score of 90. Chesnee will next return to the course this Saturday and Sunday at the WSCHA High School Invitational at Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head. Boiling Springs will next be in action on October 3rd in the Pink Out Tournament at the Newberry Country Club while Chapman will be back in action on Wednesday at The Creek Golf Course in nine-hole match against Broome.
