Chesnee fell on the road against Walhalla 58-14 after Walhalla had big 2nd and 3rd quarters. Chesnee falls to 2-2 on the season.
Chesnee got the scoring started on the first drive of the game as Jacob Kimbrell hit Matthew Lawter for a 2-yard touchdown pass to put the Eagles up 7-0. Walhalla responded on the ensuing drive with a 1-yard Zaire Scotland touchdown run. Following an eagle turnover, Walhalla would add another score with an 18-yard touchdown by Patrick Nations. Walhalla would score twice more to go up 27-7 and Chesnee would respond with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jacob Kimbrell to Dez Tate to make it 27-14. Walhalla would score 31 unanswered points to close out the game as they defeated Chesnee 58-14. Kyler Reagan and Dez Tate both had nice nights at receiver for the eagles. Reagan finished with 8 receptions for 97 yards. Tate finished with 8 receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown. Senior Curtis Stacey is developing into another reliable option for the eagles as he finished with 4 catches for 49 yards. Camden Burns made several nice defensive plays including one sack. Walhalla was led by the duo of Zaire Scotland and JJ White at the running back position. The duo combined for 20 carries for 208 yards and 4 touchdowns. ECU commit Patrick Nations had a nice night for the razorbacks, as he had 2 catches for 62 yards, 1 rushing touchdown, and went 7-7 on PAT and made a 20-yard FG. Chesnee will host county rival Landrum next Friday night at 7:30 at the Eagles nest. The Cardinals were 35-7 winners over Spartanburg Christian Academy. Comments are closed.
