Broome used two big innings to down the Lady Eagles 12-9 on Friday night in softball.
The Lady Eagles got a big night at the plate Senior leadoff hitter Madison McSwain, as she went 5-5 with 2 triples and an RBI. Sam Carver also had a big night at the plate as she went 2-4 with 3 RBIs Carver did a solid job recovering after the Eagles allowed the two big innings. After the 4th inning Broome was held to only two runs after the Early explosion. Bella Angeli was a bright spot for Broome as she went 2-4 with and RBI and a scored a run. Angeli also made several big plays in the field that allowed Broome to keep the momentum. Chesnee Head Coach Ashley Height was proud of her team's effort, "I was proud of their effort coming back, in years past it might've been a game where that (back to back big innings) just kills us. They didn't give up, and that fight in them is really going to help in region play, because we are going to play some teams in region" Chesnee will be back in action Tuesday at Gaffney, and then the Lady Eagles will compete in the Byrnes Tournament next weekend.
