The Landrum Cardinals downed the Chesnee Eagles by a score of 100-61 on Tuesday evening behind a pair of terrific performances from Foster Bridges and Trey Smith. Smith scored a game high 36 points and Bridges added another 30 points for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals jumped out to a 26 point halftime lead behind Smith's 24 1st half points and never looked back. The high scoring Landrum shooting attack was just too much for the Eagles to handle defensively. The Eagles were lead by Nate Lamb who scored 21 points in the game while Dez Tate added 16 points for the Eagles. Jahmarie Phillips also had a solid game for the Eagles as he added 12 points. The Chesnee Eagles will be back in action on Friday night when the return home to host the Blacksburg Wildcats. Girl's Game The Chesnee Lady Eagles fell on the road Tuesday evening at Landrum 64-38 as the Lady Cardinals got a big night from Lindsey Hardin, who scored a game high 21 points. The Lady Cardinals jumped out to an 11 point lead after the first quarter behind Hardin's thirteen first quarter points and never looked back. The Lady Eagles struggled to get the ball inside to Abbey Ray as she was limited to 9 points and only made two shots from the field. Carley Hammett led the Lady Eagles with twelve points.
