COLUMBIA, SC - Going on the road to start the playoffs proved to be no problem for the Chesnee volleyball team as they defeated Keenan 3-0 to kickoff the start of the 2A playoffs on Wednesday night.
The Eagles held control of the match from the very start as Keenan never got closer than six points in a final set score in each of the three sets. Chesnee got a 25-19 win in the first set before winning the second set 25-15 and closing out the match with a 25-19 victory in the final set. Pearl Holloway led the way for the Eagles finishing the match with a double-double registering 22 assists and 14 digs to go along with seven kills, two and a half blocks, and four ace serves. Carlee Turner added six kills and 11 digs while Payden Pittman contributed six kills and two ace serves. Maggie Blanton picked up five kills while Rachel McKinney had four aces serves and Hayden Roberts added 10 digs along with three ace serves. Chesnee will return to action on Monday night as they travel to Abbeville for the second round of the 2A playoffs. Comments are closed.
