Iva, SC- Chesnee softball picked up their third win of the week with a 5-2 win over the Woodruff Wolverines to open the Crescent Softball Tournament on Friday night.
The Eagles got a big night from Skylar Barrett as she finished with three hits while driving in two runs and scoring two runs, with a double and a triple being two of her three hits. Emily Pruett and Maddie Handy each had two hits for the Eagles as Pruett drove in a pair of runs and Handy hit a double. Handy picked up her third win of the week in the circle as she threw a complete game. In the pitching circle, she struck out nine and scattered seven hits. She allowed two runs, but only one was earned. Kara West picked up a pair of hits for the Wolverines and drove in a run. Kaitlyn Jackson also drove in a run for Woodruff. Chesnee will return to action on Saturday morning as they face Clover at 11:00am. They will then play West Henderson at 3:00pm in the final game of pool play. Comments are closed.
