CHESNEE, SC - The Chesnee girls' golf team continued on their quest to repeat as 2A state champions with the first feat of winning the Region II-2A championship at Meadowbrook Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
Chesnee won the championship with a team score of 331 as they outshot the second-place team Landrum by over sixty shots. Liberty finished in third place of the region championship. The Eagles were led by individual region champion Olivia Roberts who shot a tournament low score of 78. She was joined on the All-Tournament team by teammates Addy Parker (82), Abigail Watson (85), and Olivia Shields (86). The four of them were joined on the All-Tournament team by Landrum's Adeline Todd, Adison McAbee, and Tallulah Phillips. With their victory the Eagles now advance to the two-day 2A state championship tournament at Cheraw State Park Golf Course going from October 17th - 18th. Comments are closed.
