CHESNEE, SC - The Chapman soccer team went on the road Wednesday night and came away with a 4-0 victory over the home standing Chesnee Eagles in a battle between the two longtime rivals.
Chapman got a trio of first half goals to build a 3-0 halftime lead as they got one goal each from Brandon Vallecillo, David Pinedo, and Lukas Schall. Schall added a second goal midway through the second half to help the Panthers build their lead to 4-0 over the Eagles. Both goalkeepers came away with pretty good games as Chapman's Daniel Johnson earned his first career clean sheet in goal while Chesnee's Caleb Rentz made several impressive saves, including a close-range free kick as well as a penalty kick. The Panthers will return to the pitch on Thursday when they travel to Powdersville as the game has a scheduled 7:00 PM kickoff. Chesnee will return to the pitch on Monday when they travel to Broome for a match that has a kickoff scheduled for 6:00 PM. -Andrew Eison Comments are closed.
