CHESNEE, SC - Chesnee baseball fell behind early on Friday night but attempted to make a fierce comeback that ultimately fell just short to St Joseph’s as the Eagles fell 11-8 to the Knights.

In the bottom of the first inning, Landon Thompson drew a leadoff walk and stole second base before later scoring on a Davis Rising single to plate the first run of the game for the Eagles. The Knights once again used the long ball in the top of the second inning as Cameron Jackson turned on a ball and sent it over the fence a few feet inside the left field foul pole that was a three run homerun to put the Knights up 8-1. Chesnee’s Trace Berger drew a leadoff walk to start the bottom of the third inning and later scored on a Davis Rising sacrifice ground out to make it 8-2 in favor of the Knights. The Eagle's bats finally came to life in the bottom of the fourth inning as Carson Williamson got the inning started with a leadoff double before Jacob Webb, Landon Thompson, and Jonah Epps each hit RBI singles.
